Stellenbosch Model Aircraft Academy (SMAA) is not a club, and was established to promote RC model flying in the Western Cape and to create a friendly RC flying environment for all qualifying RC Pilots.
SMAA is a SAMAA registered flying field - SAMAA rules apply.
Any paid up SAMAA member with at least a Solo Proficiency, is welcome to fly at Wild Clover from 8:00 until 18:00 on any day, except Xmas day and Boxing Day...New Year Day flying hours are 09:00 till 18:00.
SAMAA members without a Solo Proficiency, must fly under the direct supervision of a pilot with at least a Silver Proficiency rating.
A landing fee of R50 per day is currently payable by using the SnapScan App displayed on the Home Page or the field’s Rules Notice board. Your name and SAMAA member number must be used as reference. Please do not fly before paying the landing fee.
A Pre paid landing fee option is available at R 750-00 per year (2018/2019)
The General Manager of the Wild Clover Farm or his/her designated representative is the Safety Officer and monitors flying activities.
